The European Women’s Chess Championship continues in Batumi

From May 25 to June 5, the 2026 European Women’s Chess Championship is being held in Batumi, Georgia.

After five rounds, the sole leader of the tournament is Ukrainian WFM Anastasiia Hnatyshyn, who has won all of her games.

There are 16 players from Armenia taking part in the tournament.

WFM Polina Kobak and WGM Mariam Mkrtchyan have scored 3.5 points out of 5.

IM Lilit Mkrtchian and GM Elina Danielian have 3 points, while WFM Anna Khachatryan, Ani Nahapetyan, and Kiti Nadanyan have 2.5 points.

Round 6 will start on May 30 at 15:00 Armenian time.
