Qualifying Tournament for the European U20 Open Chess Championship

From May 27 to June 2, the qualifying tournament for the European Youth U20 Chess Championship, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation, is being held at the Chess Academy of Armenia.

After five rounds, the tournament leaders are IM Arsen Davtyan, IM Benik Agasarov, CM Narek Ghimoyan, FM Manvel Arakelyan and FM Edgar Hayrapetyan.

IM Robert Piliposyan and IM Erik Gasparyan have 3 points.

The tournament is played in a Swiss system with 7 rounds.

The winner of the tournament will earn the right to participate in the European Youth U20 Chess Championship in Montenegro from August 5 to 16, with expenses covered by the Armenian Chess Federation.
