There are three rounds remaining until the end of the Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament
From May 29 to June 6, the Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament, organized by the Chess Academy of Armenia, is taking place in Jermuk, Armenia.
The tournament bears the name of Stepan Avagyan, a man whose great dedication and support played an important role in the development of Armenian chess. His legacy continues to live on not only in memories, but also through this tournament, which year after year brings together some of the world’s strongest chess players in Armenia.
All games of Round 6 ended in draws.
The tournament leaders remain American GM Ray Robson, Russian GM Vladislav Artemiev, and Indian GM Nihal Sarin, who have 3.5 points.
Round 7 will start on June 4 at 15:00 Armenian time.
