The European Women's Chess Championship has concluded

The 2026 European Women's Chess Championship has concluded in Batumi, Georgia.

Ukrainian WFM Anastasiia Hnatyshyn claimed the title with 9 points out of 11. Spanish IM Sabrina Vega Gutierrez won the silver medal with 8.5 points, while IM Olga Badelka from Austria completed the top three with 8.5 points as well.

Armenian WGM Mariam Mkrtchyan and IM Lilit Mkrtchian scored 7 points and shared 19th place.

During the championship, WFM Polina Kobak fulfilled her first IM norm, while WFM Anna Khachatryan fulfilled her third WIM norm.

It is also worth noting that Polina improved her rating by 211.2 points during the championship.
