The FIDE World U14-18 Youth Chess Championship has started

From June 15 to 26, the 2026 FIDE World Youth Chess Championship is being held in Montesilvano, Italy.

Among the Armenian representatives, IM Vahe Sukiasyan, IM Benik Agasarov, FM Vache Hovakimyan, FM Rudolf Pashikyan, Tigran Soghomonyan, FM Tyhran Ambartsumian, CM Artem Mamikonyan, Arman Aslanyan, Anahit Mkrtchyan, WFM Sona Krkyasharyan, Angelina Mirakyan, and Gabriela Harutyunyan secured victories in the first round.

The second round will start on June 16 at 17:00 Armenian time.
