The FIDE World U14-U18 Youth Chess Championship is underway

The 2026 FIDE World Youth Chess Championship is underway in Montesilvano, Italy.

After 4 rounds, in the U14 category, FM Tyhran Ambartsumian has 3.5 points and is tied for 3rd place.

In the U18 category, FM Vache Hovakimyan also has 3.5 points and is tied for 4th place.

Among the leaders is also Anahit Mkrtchyan, competing in the G18 category, with 3 points.

Round 5 will start on June 19 at 17:00 Armenian time.
