The 10th International Chess Festival "Batumi Municipality Cup" is underway

The 10th International Chess Festival "Batumi Municipality Cup" is being held in Batumi, Georgia, from July 2 to 10.

A total of 135 players from Armenia are taking part in the tournament.

After 4 rounds, in Group A, GM Hovik Hayrapetyan has scored 3 points and is tied for 2nd–6th place. IM Aleks Sahakyan has scored 2.5 points.

In Group B, Hakob Hakobyan has scored 4 points, while Gor Grigoryan, CM Artyom Manukyan, Harutyun Tarzyan, and Robert Grigoryan have scored 3.5 points.

In Group C, Davit Sukiasyan, Aren Baghdasaryan, Ara Nalbandyan, Robert Grigoryan, Robert Pashikyan, and Hamlet Samvelyan have scored 3.5 points.

In the U12 category, Sipan Hajian has scored 3.5 points.

In the G12 category, Ariana Azizbekyants and Ariana Chilingaryan have scored 4 points.

In the U10 category, Tigran Aghanikyan, Samvel Petrosyan, and Gevorg Geghamyan have scored 4 points, while Aram Tumanyan has scored 3.5 points.

In the G10 category, Eva Adamyan has scored 3 points.

In the U8 category, Davit Mitinyan and Norik Galoyan have scored 4 points, while Aram Beglaryan and Davit Ghahramanyan have scored 3.5 points.

In the G8 category, Sonia Makaryan has scored 3.5 points, while Natali Baghdasaryan has scored 3 points.
