Armenian chess players are sharing first place

The "Dole Open 2026" International Chess Tournament is taking place in Aix-en-Provence, France, from July 18 to 26.

In the "Masters" group, before the last round, members of the Armenian national chess team GM Robert Hovhannisyan and GM Haik Martirosyan have 6.5 points out of 8 and are sharing 1st–6th place.

In the same group, IM Sergey Sklokin-Bagiyan has 5 points, while Tigran Soghomonyan has 3.5 points.

In the "Accession" group, WIM Sona Asatryan is competing from Armenia and has 5.5 points.

The last round will start today at 11:30 Armenian time.
