The Armenian women's team has defeated the USA

In the 8th round of the 46th Chess Olympiad, Armenia beat the USA with a score of 2.5:1.5.

GM Elina Danielian secured the winning point for the team by defeating GM Irina Krush.

The games of IM Lilit Mkrtchian, WGM Mariam Mkrtchyan, and WIM Susanna Gaboyan ended in draws.

After 8 rounds, the Armenian women's team has 14 team points out of 16 and is in 3rd place.

In the 9th round, the Armenian team will face the Chinese team.
