The Armenian men's team has defeated Azerbaijan

The Armenian men's chess team has defeated the Azerbaijani team.

In the 9th round of the 46th Chess Olympiad, Armenia beat Azerbaijan with a score of 2.5:1.5.

GM Gabriel Sargissian secured the winning point for the team by defeating GM Rauf Mamedov.

The games of GM Haik Martirosyan, GM Robert Hovhannisyan and GM Shant Sargsyan ended in draws.

Today, the Armenian women's team lost to China with a score of 1:3.

After 9 rounds, the Armenian men's team has 15 points out of 18 and is in 4th place, while the women's team is in 6th place with 14 points.

There are two rounds left until the end of the Olympiad.

In the 10th round, the Armenian men's team will face Uzbekistan, while the women's team will take on Greece.
