The Chess Academy of Armenia welcomed newly elected FIDE President

Today, the Chess Academy of Armenia welcomed newly elected FIDE President Timur Turlov.

During his visit, Timur Turlov learned more about the Academy’s work, its educational programmes, and its initiatives aimed at advancing chess development.

The main focus of the meeting was the role of chess in education. The discussion covered the experience of Armenia in this field, the role of chess in school education, and the training and professional development of teachers and coaches.
