Serzh Sargsyan visits the Chess Academy of Armenia

On October 21, Serzh Sargsyan, the Third President of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Armenian Chess Federation, visited the Chess Academy of Armenia to follow the progress of the Rising Stars International Round-Robin Tournament, organized by Aghasi Inants.

During the visit, discussions focused on the progress of the tournament, the players’ performances, and their prospects of achieving Grandmaster and International Master norms, as each game in these decisive stages can have a significant impact on the players’ final results.

The visit was also attended by tournament organizer and Board Member of Armenian Chess Federation Aghasi Inants; GM Smbat Lputian, First Vice-President of the Armenian Chess Federation and Founder-General Director of the Chess Academy of Armenia; Armen Gevorgyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Chess Federation; and renowned Grandmasters Gabriel Sargissian, Arman Pashikian, and Tigran Harutyunyan.
