
Armenian chess players among prize winners in Poti
The 18th Poti International Chess Festival – Nana Aleksandria Cup 2025 has concluded in Poti, Georgia.
Here are all the Armenian prize winners:
In Group A, IM Arsen Davtyan scored 6.5 out of 9 and took 3rd place.
Menua Hakobyan also scored 6.5 points and finished 4th.
Hakob Hakobyan, with 6 points, took 1st place in the U2300 category.
In Group B, Mikael Hovhannisyan finished 5th.
Albert Aghazaryan took 1st place in the U1900 category.
Mamikon Martirosyan took 1st place among 60+ participants.
In Group C, Artur Vardevanyan finished 3rd.
Hamlet Harutyunyan took 1st place in the U1700 category.
In Group D, Vahan Abgaryan finished 2nd.
Anna Gevorgyan took 1st place among women participants.
In the U8 group, Hayk Aghayan became the winner.
Two blitz tournaments were also held during the festival.
In the first tournament, IM Arsen Davtyan became the winner, while Ruben Ishkhanyan took 1st place in the U2000 category.
In the second tournament, IM Stepan Poghosyan finished 2nd.
