FIDE World Chess Cup

Three Armenian grandmasters — Shant Sargsyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Gabriel Sargsyan — have advanced to the third round of the 2025 FIDE World Chess Cup.

In the third round, GM Shant Sargsyan will play against Turkish GM Mustafa Yilmaz.

GM Robert Hovhannisyan will face Indian GM Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa.

GM Gabriel Sargissian will compete with Indian GM Diptayan Ghosh.

Armenian-American grandmasters Levon Aronian and Samuel Sevian are also playing in the third round. Levon will face Emirati GM Salem Saleh, while Samuel will play against FIDE representative GM Evgeniy Najer.

The first game of the third round will start on November 7 at 13:30 Armenian time.
