Haik Martirosyan is the sole leader

Armenian GM Haik Martirosyan is the sole leader of the "19th Agzamov Memorial" International Chess Tournament taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, ahead of the penultimate round.

In Round 8, Haik defeated Uzbek GM Abdimalik Abdisalimov.

GM Artem Uskov and GM Nikita Afanasiev, representing FIDE, along with IM Mukhammadzokhid Suyarov and IM Bakhrom Bakhrillaev, representing Uzbekistan, are half a point behind Haik.

Round 9 will start tomorrow at 14:00 Armenian time.
