There are only two rounds remaining in the 2026 Candidates Tournament taking place in Pegeia, Cyprus.

In Round 12 of the Open section, all games ended in draws.

After Round 12, the standings in the Open section are as follows:

Matthias Bluebaum — 5.5 points

In the Women's section, Zhu Jiner defeated Rameshbabu Vaishali, Bibisara Assaubayeva beat Kateryna Lagno, while Tan Zhongyi overcame Divya Deshmukh.

The only draw in the Women's section came in the game between Anna Muzychuk and Aleksandra Goryachkina.
