The Candidates Chess Tournament has concluded

The 2026 Candidates Chess Tournament has concluded in Pegeia, Cyprus.

The winner of the Open tournament is Uzbek GM Javokhir Sindarov, while the winner of the Women's tournament is Indian GM Rameshbabu Vaishali.

Javokhir Sindarov has earned the right to challenge this year reigning World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju, while Rameshbabu Vaishali will face the current Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun.
