Armenia once again became the epicenter of chess
From September 28 to October 3, 2026, the European stage of the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship was held in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.
A total of 27 teams from 25 countries participated in the European stage, demonstrating team spirit, a high level of competition, and a strong desire to win.
After eight exciting and competitive rounds, the top three teams are:
1st Place: Belarus, Gymnasium No. 50 of Minsk
2nd Place: Latvia, Riga State Gymnasium No. 1
3rd Place: Georgia, LEPL Kutaisi Andria Razmadze Physico-Mathematical Public School N41

3rd Place: Maksymilian Wylezinski (Poland)
The World Schools Team Chess Championship will take place in Kazakhstan in December, where the winners of the continental stages will compete for the title of World Champion.
