Masis Super Cup 2025

On August 12, the "Masis Super Cup 2025" chess tournament took place in Masis, Armenia.

The attendees were welcomed by Norayr Hakobyan, First Deputy of the Masis Community Head, and Mikael Martirosyan, Chess Coordinator of Ararat Province. Ruben Hovhannisyan conveyed the speech of the Masis Community Head and officially opened the tournament.

The event was also attended by Armen Gevorgyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Chess Federation.

The tournament featured the 5 strongest chess players from Masis and members of the Armenian national chess team: GM Gabriel Sargissian, GM Robert Hovhannisyan, GM Shant Sargsyan, GM Haik Martirosyan, and GM Mamikon Gharibyan.

GM Tigran Harutyunyan held a simultaneous exhibition.

At the end of the tournament, the top ten players were awarded certificates and cash prizes by the Masis Municipality.

On behalf of the Ararat Province Chess Federation, Masis Community Head David Hambardzumyan was also awarded.
