FIDE World Chess Cup
In the first game of the third round of the 2025 FIDE World Chess Cup, GM Shant Sargsyan, playing with the black pieces, defeated Turkish GM Mustafa Yilmaz.
GM Robert Hovhannisyan, playing with the white pieces, drew against Indian GM Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, the world number 7.
GM Gabriel Sargissian drew with the black pieces against Indian GM Diptayan Ghosh.
Armenian-American grandmasters Levon Aronian and Samuel Sevian are also playing in the third round. Today, Levon, playing with the black pieces, won against UAE GM Salem Saleh, while Samuel drew with the black pieces against GM Evgeniy Najer, representing FIDE.
The second game of the third round will start on November 8 at 13:30 Armenian time.
